The wealthy left transformed Colorado, not Californians

Californians are often accused of turning the once Republican State of Colorado blue. I hear the same accusation a lot here in Texas, “those Californians are gonna turn this state blue!”, without anything to really back up their claims. Well, I’ve done research on that and it doesn’t really hold true in both cases.

Californians are not turning Texas blue, in fact it’s likely they are helping to keep us red. Greg Abbott talks about it here and I wrote about it in this article. But back to Colorado, are Californians really to blame for the state’s turn left? Not really. Colorado actually has had more of us Texans move into the state than anyone else in the country according to this report.

It was a group of leftist elites called the “Group of Four”, a group of millionaires and billionaires who had a blueprint to turn the state blue in 2004. This group consisted of self-made multi-millionaire Tim Gill, self-made multi-millionaire Rutt Bridges billionaire heiress Pat Stryker and now governor Jared Poils.

What the Gang of Four did was put together the Colorado Democracy Alliance, which was the umbrella of 30 organizations such as activist groups, to help flip the state and implement their agenda.

They started at the state level, targeting Republican candidates with viscous ads, spending hundreds of thousands on State House races to flip seats. Candidates who were known to be tough on immigration were labeled soft in these commercial ads which in turn changed the minds of many voters, causing Republicans to lose races.

The Gang of Four had many foot soldiers on the ground, studies show upwards of nearly 2,800. They knocked on thousands doors, sent out letters and made thousands of phone calls to voters.

The goal was to takeover the state on step at a time. State House, Senate, governorship and the presidential level. Well, their plan worked and caught Republicans off guard.

Over the last 9 election cycles dating from 2004-2020, Democrats have controlled the Colorado House of Representatives 8 times and their margins have increased. in 2004 when they flipped the chamber, they had a 33-32 lead over Republicans. Now it is 41-24.

In the State Senate, Democrats have controlled the chamber in 7 of the last 9 election cycles. The Governor’s office has been controlled by Democrats since 2007.

George Bush carried the state in 2000 and 2004, since then no Republican has won there.

If you want to get a better idea of what really went on in Colorado, then watch the documentary “The Rocky Mountain Heist” It’s about 45 minutes long and gives you an idea what Democrats plan to do nationally. The same plan was allegedly used in Virginia after it was successful in Colorado. But with the Democrats going too far pushing their agenda, Virginians had enough and were able to take back their state.

I hope the same can happen in CO. As of right now, it seems Democrats have a grip on the state that looks like it won’t loosen anytime soon.
